At the beginning of the month he was standing and balancing, but not quite ready to take a step without support. I mentioned to the big kids that "by the end of the month, Andrew will probably be walking!" So almost everyday since then, as Andrew began taking one or two steps and then a few more, Nathan and Sarah would proclaim their expert opinion that "he'll be walking by the end of the month!" I told them today that Andrew now definitely qualifies as a walker and our prediction was correct.
So 13 months is the "first step milestone" for Andrew, the latest of the three kiddos to walk (though it might have to do with the push-and-ride we gave him for Christmas - he's been tearing around the house pushing that toy for months!) I think this past Sunday was the tipping point for his abilities, where he would more often then not be walking rather then crawling. And do you think this kid's proud of himself? You better believe it!!
