A Beautiful Day at the Barn

Well, with traveling and packing and the upcoming move, posting to the blog is going to be sporadic during June and July.  Here's one from April that I already had the pictures for but just got around to writing the accompanying post.

When Mastroianni's came to visit last month for Jennie's wedding, they accidentally left their stroller at the barn where the wedding was held. Unfortunately they didn't realize it until they were about to leave for the airport to go home.  So Melissa said that we were welcome to keep the stroller if I wanted to drive back to the farm to get it (best hostess gift ever!!).  That next week, on an absolutely gorgeous day, the kids and I headed back to the barn. My plan was to let the kids run around for a little bit once we got there, to let them burn off some energy before getting back in the car, and also to hopefully take advantage of the beautiful location and get some pictures of them. 

Then we heard the tractor mowing the big field behind the barn, and the kids were entranced by the heavy machinery!

Then they played on the freshly mowed grass, so I just soaked up the perfect weather and admired the beautiful scenery.

Both kids started running through the field and didn't stop until they reached the far edge of the grass!
