Our Fantastic Neighborhood Park

The park closest to our house is just wonderful!  Its less then a quarter mile away, about a 5 minute walk/ride, and has sand AND a small splashpad (plus a good sized field that we haven't even played on yet).  I think we've been three times in the week and a half that we've been here and the kids have had a blast every single time.

Possibly the best part is how easy it is to stroll to the park.  Nathan rides his trike and Sarah gets pushed in her stroller, and a few minutes later, we've arrived!

The area around the play structure is a giant sandbox.  We sometimes bring our sand toys, but this one is Nathan's favorite - an excavator that seems to be a permanent presence at our park! 

Sarah is definitely a climber.  She spent quite a while sliding down this slide and then climbing back up, repeat, repeat, repeat.

Well, she finally finally took a break to play on the swings with Daddy.  Sometimes we sit on the swings...

 ... and other days we swing on our bellies!

On our first trip, it was super hot and we made sure we made time to play at the splash pad.  Both kids loved it!

Sarah commandeered someone's stuffed fish toy and had lots of fun tossing it around the splash pad. Any fish found around here is automatically named "Nemo".


Possibly Nathan's favorite part about the whole experience was finding out that there was a button that had to be pushed about every 3 minutes to restart the water. It was his mission in life to be the one to press the button as many times as possible!


I will likely be singing a different tune once winter arrives, but for now (except for when we're in traffic) I'm pretty much loving our Boston experience!
